Project Scope

In September 2016, the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby decided to rebrand the Derby, focusing its efforts on attracting families. The Derby underwent many changes, including rebranding the event with a new logo that would appeal to the newly identified target market.

Project Results

With the Derby’s target market in mind, a new logo and Brand Identity was created that:

  • Worked as a whole or as a graphic element alone (the fish) and could be displayed on anything from business cards to signs and merchandise,

  • Was fun, memorable, and appealed to a wide target market from children to adults, and

  • Incorporated the website in the logo to further the exposure of the website, the event’s primary marketing asset.

  • The Brand Identity project also included creating a tagline (Size Doesn’t Matter!) and a Brand Identity Kit.
