Project Scope

The Lee River Winter Trail required a brand built to capture the attention of outdoor recreation enthusiasts who are looking for fun, new adventures in Manitoba. The brand must reflect a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and subtly pay respect to the founding creator of the trail. As the LRWT Committee was working towards building the World’s Longest Ice Skating Trail and was seeking to obtain official status from Guinness World Records, the logo design required the seamless addition of the Guinness Record Holder logo, should the goal be met.

With Lee River Winter Trail’s parameters in mind, the LM Creative Team designed a Brand Identity Kit including:

  • A fun winter-themed logo that met the requirements of the Committee by justifying the left margin for additional logo inclusions and paid homage to the trail’s founding volunteer.

  • An alternate logo that would be better suited for social media profile use or as an alternate for branded merchandise, which would become part of the project in the future.

  • A complete Brand Identity Kit that provides colour profiles, typography, photography style, and guidelines for the implementation and use of the brand.

  • Brochure templates for the Committee to use to showcase volunteer opportunities, project details and other promotional materials the Committee would design in the future.
